Check your tire pressureEvery 5000 miles or 8,000 kilometers, rotate your tires.

Powder brakes contains all kinds of nasty things. If you leave too much time, the combination of leaf dirt, moisture and heat from the brakes bake at its wheels. Powder brakes normally clings to the wheels with electricity so a damp sponge and clean cold water is the best way to get it off.

Check your tire pressure regularly - once a week is ideal. Bad tire pressure can affect fuel economy, handling and comfort. It's easy to do and there is no excuse for not.

Bald, the slick tires could be good for motor racing, but are not good on the road. Most come with wheel bearing wear bars embedded in them now - find one, and consider whether your rolling is too low, replace your tires. Four new tires might seem expensive but they are cheaper than a fine or an accident.
